Configuring the Chromeleon Server
Starting the Server Configuration and Configuring the Server
Starting the Server Configuration Program
To start the Server Configuration program, click Start > Programs > Chromeleon > Server Configuration.
Tip:
Modifications to the server configuration are only possible if the associated Server was started before! The server usually starts automatically when you start the computer on which the server is installed.
Configuring the Server
Double-click the name of the server for which you want to extend or change the configuration. Enter the Key Code and the type of Software License.
Caution:
When you reconfigure the server (even after changes to other instruments, such as the ASI-100), Chromeleon automatically turns off the gas flow and the oven in the aQa Mass Spectrometer. A warning usually appears beforehand; however, this is not possible in remote operation. Therefore, always disconnect the MS from the HPLC system or stop the flow of the HPLC pump before reconfiguring the server.
Defining the Standard Datasource
The PC Name_local Datasource is the default Standard Datasource.
To use a different datasource as the standard datasource:
Double-click the server PC name to open the Properties dialog box.
On the Advanced tab page, click the arrow next to the Standard Datasource input field and select a datasource from the drop-down list. (Note: The datasource has to be a Common datasource.)
Confirm your selection by clicking OK.
